| This radio dog fence is a basic containment system where you don't want to have an actual visual fence. This kit includes a Transmitter, one Ultralight Receiver, Installation and Training Manual, 500 feet of wire and 50 boundary flags. You may want to buy a box of staples (Part # SS-100) if you don't want to completely bury the boundary wire but want to ensure that it stays in place. The transmitter plugs into a standard outlet and emits a radio signal that travels along an underground wire that is installed as the border of your "fence". The lightweight receiver worn on your pet's collar picks up the radio signal and alerts him as he nears the underground boundary that you have customized for your yard. When he approaches the boundary, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not return, he receives a static correction which is startling but not harmful. |
